'Saved for Glory' : a Hymn for Today

Saved for Glory 87 87
Tune: All to Jesus

Saved for glory by the Saviour,
Christ is all in all to me;
I will tell the wondrous story,
How He came to set us free.
Saved by Christ alone!
Saved by Christ alone!
Saved for glory by the Saviour,
Saved by Christ alone!

He came down to bring us freedom,
From man’s own self-righteous law;
Came to grant us free salvation,
Tell it out from door to door.
Saved by Christ alone!
Saved by Christ alone!
Saved for glory by the Saviour,
Saved by Christ alone!

Christ, the one Son of the Father,
God incarnate came to earth;
When you claim through Him redemption,
Through God’s Spirit get rebirth.
Saved by Christ alone!
Saved by Christ alone!
Saved for glory by the Saviour,
Saved by Christ alone!

You can claim this glorious blessing,
You receive the bounty free;
You can sing the Saviour’s story,
Tell it out aloud like me.
Saved by Christ alone!
Saved by Christ alone!
Saved for glory by the Saviour,
Saved by Christ alone!

Tell the world you’re saved for glory,
That in heav’n one day we’ll meet;
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
We will worship at their feet.
Saved by Christ alone!
Saved by Christ alone!
Saved for glory by the Saviour,
Saved by Christ alone!

A hymn for the Sunday School: 'Little Children'

Little Children   7777
Tune: Jesus Loves Me
Little children pure and sweet,
Worship at the Saviour’s feet;
He looks down at them to say,
Walk My straight and narrow way.
      Yes! Jesus loves them!
      Yes! Jesus loves them!
      Yes! Jesus loves them!
      The Bible tells us so.
Jesus seated on the ground,
Called the children, gather round;
Drew them close to be with Him,
Gave them life, pure, free from sin.
Yes! Jesus loves them!
Yes! Jesus loves them!
Yes! Jesus loves them!
The Bible tells us so.
Promised them that He’d be there,
And would hear their every prayer;
He’d supply their every need,
All His little lambs He’d lead.
Yes! Jesus loves them!
Yes! Jesus loves them!
Yes! Jesus loves them!
The Bible tells us so.

'Trusting You, Lord' : A hymn for this weekend and every day.

Trusting You, Lord     669 669 and refrain
TUNE: Trusting You
As I live every day
I will follow the Way,
Hand in hand I will go with You Lord.
In Your steps I will walk,
With Your words I will talk,
Trusting You, taking You at Your word.
Keep my heart, keep my soul,
You’ve set me free, made me whole.
Hold me close, O my Lord, take my hand.
Keep my heart, keep my soul,
You’ve set me free, made me whole.
Hold me close Lord, for You understand.
Help me serve as I go,
Teach me all I should know,
Hand in hand I will go with You Lord;
In Your steps I will walk,
With Your words I will talk,
Trusting You, taking You at Your word.
Keep my heart, keep my soul . . .
I will face every task,
Doing all that You ask,
Hand in hand I will go with You Lord;
In Your steps I will walk,
With Your words I will talk,
Trusting You, taking You at Your word.
Keep my heart, keep my soul . . .

'Christ is the Light' : A Hymn of Hope

Christ is the Light   CM
TUNE: Wiltshire
Christ is the light of all the world,
Yet with the darkest night;
Lit by His glory and His love,
He turns the dark to light.
Christ came into a world of sin,
To cast the dark away;
He came to bring mankind the Light,
And give the brightest day.
His is the light with which we shine,
When we call Him our friend;
He is our Saviour and our Lord,
We’ll serve Him to the end.
We’ll shine for Him in this dark world,
We’ll be a lamp of grace;
We’ll boldly go into the dark
Till we stand face to face.

A Hymn of Faith for Today.

Faith 557 553
TUNE:  Faith
Your faith may be small
like a mustard seed,
but as long as it is true,
and you keep the faith,
just like your Saviour
close to you:
        Then you can move mountains,
      that stand in your way,
      yes, you can move mountains
      by faith every day!
      You can move mountains,
      it says in the Word,
You can move mountains
when you love the Lord.
Each time that you walk
in faith with your Lord,
there’s nothing you cannot do.
Then keeping your faith
and walking with God
close to you:
Then you can move mountains,
that stand in your way,
yes, you can move mountains
by faith every day!
You can move mountains,
it says in the Word,
You can move mountains
when you love the Lord.
When you walk in faith,
with Christ in your heart,
Safe in the palm of His hand;
in trust and in faith,
with Him by your side
understand:
Then you can move mountains,
that stand in your way,
yes, you can move mountains
by faith every day!
You can move mountains,
it says in the Word,
You can move mountains
when you love the Lord.

3 Hymns for use at The Communion Service

Communion (1)  7676
TUNE: Aurelia
We gather round your table,
as in the upper floor,
to thank You and remember,
Until You come once more.
We come now in repentance,
then, cleansed by mercy fine,
just as did Your disciples,
we share the bread and wine.
Your sacrificial off’ring,
the way Your blood was shed,
we drink the wine in mem’ry,
then break and eat the bread.
We wait for your return, Lord,
for on that glorious day,
we’ll join with you together,
then in your rest we’ll stay.
Our heads bowed low before You,
forgiven, pure in heart,
we rise up from Your table,
once more to take our part.
Sacred and blessed communion,
that we have shared this day,
is drawing to a close now ,
but in our hearts will stay.

Light of Life CM
TUNE: Richmond
Lord Jesus now, O light of life,
Fill me with joy anew;
For I would feign remember Thee,
And praise and thank Thee too.
.
Gathered around Thy table here,
To take the bread and wine;
Recalling that great sacrifice,
That brought the gift divine.
.
We eat the bread and drink the wine,
Repentant in our heart,
We rest within your perfect peace,
A new beginning start.
.
And when at last we turn aside,
Redeemed, restored, refreshed,
May we remember, evermore,
This sacred moment blessed.

Bread and Wine LM
TUNE:  Old 100th
Redeemed by Him, and then restored,
Keeping the death of Christ the Lord.
In memory we share this food,
The bread His flesh, the wine His blood.

Take, eat, and now remember Him,
His body broken in our stead,
In full forgiveness, till He come,
Share in the breaking of the bread.

Then as we take the cup of wine
His life-blood shed to set us free
Deeply we drink from draught of pain,
His blood was shed for you and me.

Our sweet communion, Three-in-One,
By mercy, through His grace, we meet
To share in this memorial feast,
Then praise and worship at His feet.

A Hymn for a Baptismal Service

Baptism   L.M.
TUNE: Melcombe
As to the Jordan  went our Lord,
So now we bring this child to you.
Baptise with water and with Word,
As you have bid us all to do.

This little child we now baptise,
As heir of our Redeemer’s grace;
A living symbol of our faith,
With water now a cross we trace.

On his/her behalf our promise make,
              To lead him/her in the Christian way;
To watch and teach, and help him/her learn
To follow Jesus every day.

So now dear Lord, we hand him/her o’er,
Into Your pure and loving care;
To mould him/her in Your perfect way,
Him/her for Your Kingdom to prepare.

'Alleluia!' : A Hymn for Today

Alleluia!  8787
TUNE: All for Jesus
Alleluia! Praise and glory,
Give to Jesus Christ the Lord.
His the everlasting story,
Saviour in a dying world.

He has come to show God’s mercy,
To an unbelieving world;
He has come to grant forgiveness,
He is Jesus Christ, the Lord.

He will guide you on life’s pathway,
Keep you on the narrow way;
He is ever walking with you,
Leading you both night and day.

Alleluia! Sing His praises!
Worship Him, the Saviour King.
Give Him glory, for He’s worthy,
To His feet your tributes bring!
