Joanne Lowe's Meditations

WHAT KIND OF GOD
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
John 3:16, 17 (King James Version)
We ask what kind of a God would allow terrible things to happen to our family and to our friends.  I think if we will listen with our heart, we will hear Him say "What kind of people are you that you would kill My Son"?  Instead of pointing the finger at God, we need to point it at ourselves.
I was talking with someone last week and this person said "I didn't kill Jesus.  It's not my fault He was crucified."  I submit to you on the authority of the Word of God that it is that person's fault just as it is every person's fault.  Jesus didn't die for just one person's sins, He died for everybody's sins.
Jesus not only saves us from our sins, He also saves us from the vicious poisonous darts of satan.  Jesus really loves us and He wants us to be happy and live a joyful and peaceful life.  I believe that He is longing for the day when God says to Him "Go get Your bride" and He comes for us to take us home with Him.
You may be saved but you have allowed resentment, bitterness and unforgiveness to remain in your heart.  If so, cry out to God and ask Him to forgive you.  It is so important that we keep our heart in right standing with God because we don't know when Jesus is coming back but He is coming and we need to be ready.
