Today sees the culmination and fulfilment of all the carefully laid plans of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and the hordes of folk involved in planning today's great event. I hope that the weather holds and does not spoil the hundreds of street parties that will take place as people cast off the doom and gloom of the recessional months and go out on the streets of the UK to celebrate.
I wish them both well, not only for today but for their future together. Let us hope that they will honour their wedding vows, unlike certain other members of William's family.
