There are still some heavy hitters left (Rochas, Lanvin, Vuitton, McQueen, Dries) but unless they have incredibly spectacular shows (even higher than their usual high standards) it is going to be hard to beat Balenciaga this season.
References to the past without feeling retro, a perfect balance between the design aesthetics of Cristobal and Nicolas and feeling both extremely refined while street-ready at the same time - Balenciaga kept me riveted with every look.
ps Gaultier looked better than he had for a while but JPG please edit, edit, edit. If he would have shown the best 28 looks, instead of 6oish, the show would have had so much more impact.
